For the Masses for Passion [Palm] Sunday and Easter Sunday, as these Masses are popular Masses to attend, often packed to standing room only, with the current protocols with limited seating, Bishop Nickless and his COVID Task Force is highly recommending all parishes to conduct ‘hard reservations’ for these Masses so only those who register may attend these Masses, for which the obligation to attend has been dispensed. Registration is REQUIRED to attend and will be taken on a first come-first served basis with preference being given to those who have been regularly attending Saturday/Sunday and weekday Masses and assigned ministers for the Mass. Registrants will be given assigned seating to accommodate as many people as possible at each Mass within the Diocesan and parish protocols. DEADLINE to sign up for Passion [Palm] Sunday Mass is Wednesday March 24, 10:00 p.m. DEADLINE to sign up for Easter Sunday Mass is Wednesday March 31, 10:00 p.m. Signup opens noon on Saturday March 13 at Mass Attendance Reservations - Catholic Communities of Cherokee County - Cherokee, IA (cherokeecountycatholics.org), under the Weekend/Sunday Masses section. Persons without internet access may submit their reservation by calling the parish office or sending a note in writing to the parish office. Persons who have not registered to attend, will not be admitted, unless there is room before the start of Mass. For more information, please see: CURRENT STATUS OF PUBLIC MASSES, PROTOCOLS, AND COVID.
